The ISO 9001:2008 quality management systems standard was released on 15 November 2008! The  older version of the standard, i.e. ISO 9001:2000, has been withdrawn. 

Validity of certifications to ISO 9001: 2000  

After 15 November 2009, all accredited certifications issued—new certifications or recertifications—shall be to ISO 9001: 2008. 

Any existing certification issued to ISO 9001: 2000 shall not be valid after 15 November 2011.
